Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary

of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam

to the People's Republic of Bangladesh

 

Ambassador Tran Van Khoa was accredited by President Tran Dai Quang as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to the People's Republic of Bangladesh in September 2016. He was also accredited to the title of Minister – the second highest rank for a Vietnamese career diplomat in January 2015. He presented his Credentials to Honourable President of Bangladesh Md. Abdul Hamid on 28 December 2016.

From January 2013 to September 2016, Ambassador Tran Van Khoa was Deputy Director General, Standing Vice Chairman of Trade Union, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From 2012 to 2013, he was Senior Officer, Office of Party and Mass Organizations Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From 1997 to 2008, he was Desk Officer, then Senior Officer, Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From 1984 to 1997, he was Desk Officer, Press Center, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During this time, he also served in the Vietnam People's Army from 1985 to 1987.

During his 32-year career, Ambassador Tran Van Khoa was posted as Consul Officer then Deputy Consul General at the Consulate Office of Viet Nam in Sydney, Australia from 2008 to 2012.

Ambassador Tran Van Khoa graduated from the Diplomatic University, Viet Nam (now Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam, 1979-1984). He earned a Master in International Relations at Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam (2003-2005) and a post graduate Diploma in Political Theories and Public Administration at Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration, Viet Nam (2012-2014).

Ambassador Tran Van Khoa is married and has two daughters. He is fluent in English.​
